We’re excited to announce that subtitles are now available in English, Spanish, French, and simplified Chinese for all videos on LUMA Workplace®, our digital platform for design thinking. This is part of an ongoing effort to make LUMA tools more accessible and inclusive — we are on our way but we still have much to do!
At LUMA, our mission is to increase design literacy so that everyone can use the power of design to make things better! But we can’t possibly reach that goal unless we communicate in multiple languages — we are eager to create more opportunities for people to learn in their language of choice.
Here’s how it works…
You can turn on subtitles for an individual video by clicking the CC button in the bottom, right-hand corner of the video player.
Or, to set a preferred language for all videos, follow these steps:
- Click the gear icon in the upper, right-hand corner of the main navigation bar.
- Click Settings.
- On the Language Preferences tab, click the dropdown menu to choose the language you prefer. The choice you select will automatically save. Subtitles are currently available in English, Spanish, French, and Chinese (simplified).
